Craft Brews to Try at The Nodding Donkey!

Spring has sprung. March Madness is in full swing. The weather is uh-mazing. It’s time to get to The Nodding Donkey Greenville Ave. this week to enjoy great food, drinks, and basketball!

When you come into D Magazine’s Readers’ Choice for Best Sports Bar in Dallas, you’ll instantly see that we’ve got a plethora of amazing craft beers, right on tap. Whether you want an old favorite, or are looking for something new, there is something for everyone. Here are a few to try:

·      Texas Ale Project – Fire Ant Funeral: A local Dallas brewery, Texas Ale Project is the first brewery in Texas to start from the ground up since the late 1800s. T.A.P. as it is commonly called, combines the art of brewing with the highest quality ingredients to incite the best possible flavor. Fire Ant Funeral was one of the first brews to come out of this local Dallas, Texas Brewery – and one of the best so far! An all American Amber Ale, Fire Ant Funeral combines 7 different malts that create a rich, full-bodied ale.

·      Community Beer Company – Mosaic IPA: Mosaic put Community Beer Company on the map with the development of this full-bodied, yet not overpowering India Pale Ale. The name – Mosaic – comes from the use of a new hop called Mosaic, giving it a raw, hoppy flavor that is surprisingly well balanced. Community Beer is brewed right here in Downtown Dallas.

·      Peticolas Brewing Company – Velvet Hammer: Velvet Hammer is a favorite here at The Nodding Donkey because of its malty sweetness, balanced bite, and floral undertones. It’s complex and unique, with a dark – almost ruby – color. Everything a good Imperial Red Ale should be! Located right here in Dallas, Peticolas is consistently recognized as one of the best breweries in Dallas.
