Dallas Fall Bucket List

We love Fall. Pumpkins. Football. A reprieve from 100 degree days. It just may be our favorite season of the year! Here are a few things on our Fall Bucket List:

·         Watch Football! You’ll find us at The Nodding Donkey Uptown every Saturday watching the best of college football with all the like-minded folk, sipping some craft beers, and playing a little cornhole. The Donkey opens its doors every Saturday at 10am so you’ll never miss a pregame show or early game. And then on Sundays and Mondays, we’ll be back to watch the Dallas Cowboys wreck havoc in the NFL. We’re pretty sure Fall was made for football season.

·         Go to the State Fair of Texas. The fair is fun. Big Tex, carnival food, rides, great people watching; it’s all good fun for the whole family. Try this year’s Big Tex Award Winners: Best Taste - the Fried Gulf Shrimp Boil; Most Creative – Funnel Cake Ale. And once you’ve had your fill of fried food, then head over to The Nodding Donkey for a lighter salad and some Texas-sized drink specials.

·         Take a date to Autumn at the Arboretum: Each year, thousands flock to the Dallas Arboretum to see over 65,000 pumpkins and gourds on display. Stacks of pumpkins. Rows of pumpkins. Pumpkin houses. All create the perfect setting for Fall portraits and conversation. After enjoying the Arborteum, bring your date over to The Donkey for dinner and drinks on the patio. Our patio is spacious and perfect for enjoying great Dallas Fall evenings.

·         Attend the State & Allen 10th Anniversary Bash: Have you heard about State & Allen’s 10th Anniversary Bash?! It’s this Friday evening, October 17, at State & Allen. Come celebrate 10 great years with dancing, a DJ, shot luge, and more. It’ll be the biggest party in Uptown and you won’t want to miss it! All your friends from The Donkey will be there as well.

What’s on your bucket list this Fall?!
