We asked our bartenders what their favorite St. Patrick’s Day drinks were and here are a few of the suggestions. If you make any at home, be sure to post pics and tag The Nodding Donkey!

Shamrock Sour

To make this refreshing cocktails, combine 2 T. lime juice, ½ T. lemon juice, ¼ cup simple syrup, a dash of green food coloring, and 2 oz. of Irish whiskey in a shaker. Shake well, then pour over ice. Add lime wedges for garnish if you want to get really fancy!

The Baileys Mudslide

This one might as well be known as “dessert in a glass.” Add 2 oz. Baileys Irish Cream, ½ oz. chocolate liqueur, and ½ oz. vodka of choice, then stir and sip.

Irish Mint Mojito

It doesn’t have to be summertime to drink mojitos! This one takes on an Irish flare with Irish whiskey. Grab your shaker and muddle a few mint leaves and a lime wedge in ¼ cup simple syrup. Add 2 oz. Irish whiskey and a splash of tonic water, then shake. Pour over ice and garnish with limes.

Irish Mule

You didn’t think we’d complete a cocktail list without a mule recipe, did you? So this recipe is similar to the mojito, just without the mint. Combine 2 oz. Irish whiskey, ginger beer to taste, and lime juice to taste. Shake, then pour over ice.

Try a few of these and let us know what you think! Don’t want to make your own St. Patrick’s Day drinks? Stop by The Nodding Donkey for the best Uptown Dallas drink specials!
