Why We Love the Dallas Memorial Day Brunch at State & Allen

As most of you know, State & Allen is our sister restaurant, located just down the road at the corner of State St. and Allen St. in Uptown Dallas, Texas. And like most siblings, we each have our strengths.

The Nodding Donkey is known for being the best sports bar in Dallas, while State & Allen has a killer dinner menu and hands down the best brunch in Dallas. That’s why we were pretty excited to hear that State & Allen will be offering a Dallas Memorial Day Brunch on Monday, May 29! Why do we love it? Read on –

1.    Amazing Food

State & Allen uses only the best ingredients in each of its dishes: fresh, free range eggs, local produce whenever possible, and the highest quality meats. And amazing ingredients translate into amazing food. We are partial to the Omelet Calabrese – named for The Nodding Donkey & State & Allen’s Founder Jonathan Calabrese – but the Chicken & Waffles, Mediterranean Egg White Scramble, and The Giant (aka biscuits & gravy and southern goodness) are also huge hits. Really you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!

2.    Delicious Brunch Drink Specials

So what’s brunch without cocktails?! State & Allen is home to the only Bloody Mary Bar in Uptown Dallas, so for just $5, you can try your hand at concocting the best Bloody around. Not in the mood for Bloodys? Go for a $3 Mimosa, a $9 Sofiemosa, or an Agave Loco Bloody Maria for just $8.75.

3.    Great Patio

The weather is going to be gorgeous this weekend, and enjoying brunch on the patio is close to heaven (not to mention, pretty good people watching!).

Memorial Day Weekend is better when you spend it with The Nodding Donkey and State & Allen! Grab drinks, food, and watch a few games at the best sports bar in Dallas – The Nodding Donkey – then don’t forget to check out the Dallas Memorial Day Brunch at State & Allen!
